Part two of this series is a beginner friendly sewing project, hot pads! I call these kid safe hot pads because all of your fingers are contained in the hot pad before you touch anything.

The materials you need for this project are pretty straightforward and simple. You will need cotton fabric in two coordinating patterns. You won’t need much! Two fat quarters will give you enough material.You will also need quilt batting and Insul-Bright. Insul-Bright is a heat resistant material that will be what protects your hands from the hat pans you grab. It is essential for this project.
