It has been a mission here at Baker Hill Farm to create a homemade barbecue sauce that is savory, a little sweet, and has the perfect amount of kick. Well, I’m happy to announce, the mission has been accomplished!
Barbecue sauce is one of those condiments we all love. The problem with store bought barbecue sauce is it is filled with junk ingredients. I have yet to come across an affordable barbecue sauce that didn’t contain high fructose corn syrup or caramel coloring.

The recipe I am sharing today can be thrown together in about 20 minutes! Make it ahead and pop it in the refrigerator for meal planning throughout the week. It’ll stay good a couple of weeks.

The recipe couldn’t be any easier. All you do is put all the ingredients in a pot, and heat them over medium heat until the mixture thickens up. That is it! Homemade made simple.
We love roasting a chicken, shredding it up and coating it in this barbecue sauce. To take it to the next level, serve it on my soft sourdough sandwich bread, or sourdough English muffins.
