If you’re like me then you aren’t always prepared come dinner time. This recipe takes less than 20 minutes from start to finish! Bake these delicious drop biscuits today!
This recipe is so simple to throw together. First, combine all your dry ingredients. Next, melt your butter in a pan and pour it into your dry ingredients. Finally, add the remainder of your ingredients and mix to combine. Use a spoon to drop the dough onto a baking sheet. You can also use a preheated cast iron skillet.
The key to a soft interior and crisp crust is baking these at a high temperature. Have your oven preheated to 425 degrees Fahrenheit and bake them for 10-12 minutes, or until lightly golden.
Other Ways to Use This Recipe
These biscuits are perfect over chicken pot pie filling, for breakfast with sausage and gravy, or just served with butter and honey.
However, one of my favorite ways to use this recipe is in chicken and dumplings. Make your dough as instructed and pop the cookie sheet in the freezer for 30-45 minutes. Get the chicken soup portion of your chicken and dumplings ready in your pot. Bring the mixture to a boil. Drop in your frozen biscuits and boil for 10 minutes or until the dough is cooked all the way through.
Enjoy!
